Nasrin Azizi

Nasrin Azizi came to Australia with her family at a young age. Her mother, sisters and she fled to Pakistan so they could make it to Australia. Ever since she came to Australia, she knew she wanted to help people in need. She is a qualified Social Worker and has worked hard in her community to help Afghan men and women living in Australia to navigate through life successfully. In 2021 the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, this forced thousands of Afghan people to flee their homeland to find safety in other countries. Nasrin has drawn on her experience as a refugee and made it her mission to help those vulnerable and experiencing injustice to make it safely to Australia.

She works closely with the Afghan community in Ryde, Sydney and surrounding suburbs to advocate for Afghan refugees to meet the immigration requirements and to then provide them with financial support. Resolution Community Services is a non-profit organization helping Afghan refugees apply for Australian visas and assisting them to resettle as smoothly as possible in Sydney.

For many years Nasrin has assisted Afghan residents get back on their feet by assisting them with employment and education. Nasrin works tirelessly to be a voice for those who need to be heard.

Her work with the Australian Government and other settlement organisations have made it possible for XB 202 Global Humanitarian visas to be issued to Afghan refugees in 2023 overcoming many visa challenges. This is a huge step forward and has brought hope to so many refugees that more visas will be issued.

Nasrin is a business owner and looks after her immediate and extended family all while advocating for those in need. If you need visa or resettlement assistance please don't hesitate to contact Nasrin via: rcommunitys11@gmail.com
